Have a FANTASTIC Purim and general class updates!

Hello!

I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful weather as much as I am! This Sunday is our Purim Carnival, however there is still Hebrew School before hand! We will be doing some fun Purim related activities and I can't wait to see all your great costumes!

In class, we have finished the Blessing Before the Haftarah and will be starting the Blessing After the Haftarah now! It is quite a long prayer, so please make sure students practice at home, it is more vital than ever for this prayer! 
I will be sending home some worksheets after class so students can practice, as always on homework, please sign it to show they have practiced!

There is school Wednesday, March 19^th and Wednesday April 2^nd  however between then we will have Spring Break!

Continuing Blessing Before Haftarah!

Hello!

We are continuing the Blessing before the Haftarah, if your student is having difficulty with the tune or has missed a few classes, here is a useful Youtube video they can practice with!

In class we discussed what the Haftarah is (feel free to have a discussion with them about this! And how it is NOT the "half-torah"). We also have been working on out writing in script, something they all could use practice on and also some fun words and roots related to our prayers.

We also have learnt a bit about the backgrounds of some of the more popular prophets, and made "Facebook" pages so summarize a bit about their lives. I'll upload pictures soon, they look great!
