Hello!
In Dalet class we're now working on the prayer for "Taking the Torah Out of The Ark". This week their homework will be in their workbooks pg. 18.
Since the last update, we have finished Vayehi Binsoa and also acted out plays of the week's Torah Portions. We also have played some fun learning games and are in the process right now of creating out own Hebrew Bingo game!
I have also created Prayer Charts where I will individually and privately evaluate each child on the prayer and give them a star for "reading", "fluent reading", "chanting" and "mastery". Once they reach mastery for the prayer then can move on to the next one. I am implementing this so that everyone can move at a pace suited for them and therefore better learn and understand each prayer. For many of them, the hardest part is accurately reading. Because if this it is very, very beneficial to have them do their homework accurately, and not just rush through it the night before!
